Barrication

Introduction

Barrication is a means of restricting the entry to unauthorized or unwanted persons into hazardous areas or where construction work is under progress which may endanger the person causing potential harm.

          Normally is done using warming tape of prominent colors, which is soft barrication. Other type is hard barrication using M.S. pipes, traffic cones, or drums to prevent unauthorized entry.

          Suitable safety tags, warning sign, caution boards are also be posted.

Safety Tags

          Accident prevention tags are used as temporary means of warning employees of an existing hazard. They should not be used in place of or as substitution accident prevention. The tags are temporary means of warning al concerned of a hazard condition of equipment, radiation hazard, etc.

      Tags can be defined as a surface made of cardboard of paper board material on which letter or marking or both appear. They are to be affixed or attached to the equipment / device/ system by string or wire, etc.

          They should be made in two languages i.e. one side English and other side local language.
